Saving Symbols in Inkscape

To find your Symbols Library location, open Inkscape.  Go to Preferences, then click on System. Look for the file called User Symbols. The path file will be listed next to it. You can copy that file path and save it in a text note for later use. You can also open it by clicking the Open Now button. This is where you will save your new Symbol file. Close Inkscape and then restart it. Once you have done this, the new file will be visible in your Symbols dropdown list.
