A note from my (new) mini studio

🕯️If you have a cup of tea nearby, grab it. Take one slow breath. You are in the right place. 🫖

Hello friends!

I’m so glad you’re here. I have a few updates to share, plus something new I’m building: Sunday Stitch Sanctuary — a gentle weekly gathering for makers who want more connection and a little spiritual grounding in their handwork. The very first one begins this coming Sunday. But here are the other updates first.

Studio update: the move is complete

This week I finished moving into my storage unit, and my mini studio inside the storage is officially set up. It’s simple, but it’s mine, and it feels so good to have a dedicated space again.

A shift in my work

I’m no longer taking client sewing work.

Instead, I’m pouring my time into making AprilEnchanting Handmade creations — sewing and embroidering my own designs to sell on my website and at vendor events in 2026. I’ll be posting dates for those events, so look for those email updates.

What I’m making now

Over the next few months you’ll see me focusing on:

  • Small sewn goods that are practical and a little magical
  • Embroidered pieces meant to bless a doorway, a pocket, a bag, or an altar
  • Limited runs as I experiment, refine, and build momentum

Sewing Shop OS 2.0 is ready

If you’ve been watching my Notion template work, this is a big milestone: Sewing Shop OS 2.0 is ready for deployment.

It’s a Notion workspace built for sewing & embroidery freelancers and small studios to keep everything in one place — like:

  • clients and projects
  • quotes and job details
  • workflow stages and due dates
  • notes, links, and quick actions so you actually use it
  • One central hub for your entire business

It’s officially published and ready for purchase now. It’s only $25! And it runs on the free version of Notion so you don’t have to pay to upgrade to use it!

Sunday Stitch Sanctuary (starts this coming Sunday)

Sunday Stitch Sanctuary is a gentle weekly note from my studio where handwork meets spiritual practice.

Each Sunday, I’ll share a small offering you can actually use — a simple practice, a prompt, and a little studio note to help you stay close to what you’re making.

Join me in community (free)

If you’d like to participate in Sunday Stitch Sanctuary, it will live inside a new free Skool community I’m building called Alchemy in Threads.

This won’t just be an email newsletter — it’s a real community space where you can share what you’re working on, join the conversation each week, and feel a little more connected as you stitch.

You can post a WIP photo, ask a small question, celebrate a finish, or simply quietly follow along and soak up the inspiration — it all counts.

And because it’s a real community space (not just a feed), I’ll also share a few extra treats there that won’t be available on my website — like seasonal giveaways, free patterns and embroidery files, and occasional exclusive product offerings.

If you’ve been craving a place to share what you’re making, get gentle encouragement, and bring your spiritual practice into your craft, you’ll fit right in.

Join the community HERE!

Thank you for being here with me — truly. I’m so excited to share what I’m making, and I’m even more excited to stitch alongside you in community.

Closing Blessing:

May your hands feel steady.

May your heart feel held.

May you make one small beautiful thing this week — and let it be enough.

With love,

April

GoSew Collective

Many of you may not know that I opened a new business in Golden, Colorado. I wanted a place to teach sewing classes, have shared sewing space and to offer fabrics and trims and supplies at thrift store prices. So I moved my little workspace down into the huge basement in the same building I was already in. And now I can do all those things.

The GoSew Collective is a membership based shared workspace. You can buy a day pass membership or a monthly membership. Membership allows you to use the cutting and worktables, variety of different sewing machines, and use free or inexpensive materials that we have on hand here.

There is a monthly sewing circle open to the public. You can bring any project to work on…sewing, knitting, crochet, embroidery, cross stitch or whatever you might want to finish or just share with others.

In addition, we have many classes on the schedule every month. And some demonstrations of techniques or software related to sewing and crafts.

We have a lovely lounge that has a design library, comfy couches and chairs, a coffee machine and microwave. We also have WiFi available.

So I hope some of you will come visit us here in Golden, a lovely little place nestled in the foothills and just 25 minutes from Denver. And if you want to be on the mailing list for the Collective, go check out the website and sign up for the newsletter!

Happy Stitching!
