Hello friends!
Quick studio note from my little mini studio in storage.
This season of my work is still unfolding, but it’s feeling more and more like a “coming home” to what I actually want my days to be made of: making, learning, and building things that support other makers.
What’s new this week
Sewing machine restoration + repair: This has always been one of my favorite kinds of problem-solving. I recently finished restoring a truly vintage treadle-operated machine that’s ready for its next home (message me if you want it), and another is on my bench right now while I source parts. I’m also exploring certification in sewing machine repair, because I’ve always done this work in my own business and I love helping others with it.
What I’m focusing on next
- Making artful, unique small-batch goods to sell online and at vendor events throughout 2026
- Building digital patterns, embroidery designs, and practical tools that make running sewing and apparel businesses a lot easier

Quick resource (for the business side)
Sew… I built a simple Notion workspace that keeps the business side of things from eating your whole brain. It’s just $25, and it’s built to run on Notion’s Free plan.

If you have questions, feel free to DM me. And honestly, I’d love to hear what you’re up to these days too. Come say hi.
Closing Blessing:
May your hands feel steady.
May your heart feel held.
May you make one small beautiful thing this week — and let it be enough.
With love,
April
